Lockdown-Friendly Easter Recipes

Updated: Apr 16, 2020

This year we are going to live one of the most peculiar Holy holidays of our lives. There will be no big, boisterous family gatherings with desired to eats. This Easter celebration will only happen with those who live under the same roof and by greeting your loved ones through phone or video call under the lockdown. Of course, this isolation can make people feel distressed, sad, and alone.

However, just because we can’t get out of the house, it doesn’t mean the celebration needs to be filled with sadness. Preferably this Easter, you can cook delicious dishes and put all your energy to let the creativity flow, and enjoy the moment even with the limitations. Also, you can use this time as an opportunity to get your hands on various homemade recipes for the celebration. So, here I have come up with these quick, easy Easter recipes, which you can prepare with your family while observing stay-at-home, and social distancing guidelines.

Easter Breakfast: Pancakes

Festive breakfasts usually include colorful eggs and a delicious Easter cake, but why stop with this? We diversify the Easter morning meal with unusual flavors ─ pear, apple, and carrot. By the way, this mix pancake will appeal to children. Pancakes are a savory and tasty alternative to your regular Easter breakfast. Moreover, you can prepare a thousand varieties of the pancake by adding your favorite fruit, chocolate, and dry fruits to the batter. They are usually served with butter and maple syrup, this recipe incorporates the fundamental concepts, turning towards salty flavors. It is a simple, quick, and efficient dish to serve in the Easter breakfast.

Easter Lunch: Salad + Meat

Sunday Easter table is the time when the family gathers at the table, enjoy the day, and share plans for the future. So, here we are presenting a recipe that will make your Sunday menu special.

Light salad – This salad is simple to do and can get ready within minutes. To prepare this, take a bunch of your favorite green salad, boiled eggs, wine vinegar, and salt. Tear the green salad with hands and season it with vinegar (you can also take any sauce as desired). Then, finely chop the proteins and mix them with lettuce leaves. Salt the salad and sprinkle with grated yolks.

Rack of lamb – To prepare this, the ingredients we need lamb chops on ribs, garlic cloves, butter, salt, and pepper. Pre-heat the oven properly. And, then, place the ribs on the grill, placing them obliquely and vertically (build something like a crown). Peel the garlic and stuff it with meat, then sprinkle some salt and pepper for the perfect taste. Put in the oven for 20 minutes. Finally, the meat is ready to eat with fried on the outside and pink on the inside. Serve and eat it when it’s hot.

Easter Dessert: Vegan Chocolate Pie

We offer to end the special day on a sweet note ─ not quite traditional, but impeccably tasty variation on the theme of Easter cake. A vegan chocolate pie ─ a pie that combines a crunchy crust with a very creamy filling, and it can be an excellent choice for Easter dessert, right?

That's why I decided to share this pie. It is all good that you can imagine super crunchy gluten-free and sugar-free dough. A filling that is creamy in the last degree and a ganache made with coconut milk instead of sour cream. For Mass, the required ingredients are – almonds, grated coconut, dates, and coconut oil. For the filling – coconut milk, chopped dark chocolate, and some sweetener such as agave or honey.
