Caramel Apples

As the name goes, caramel apples are apples made with deep, rich caramel. This United States originated food item is also known as Toffee Apples.

Let’s take a look at the ingredients required. These are:

Here’s the main part - the preparation.

To prepare caramel apples, pour water into a small saucepan kept over medium-high flame. Add corn syrup and sugar to it.

Stir a few times. Then bring the sugar syrup to boil. Attach a candy thermometer for temperature tracking.

Keep cooking till the syrup becomes deep amber.

When the thermometer is at 375 degrees F switch off the oven.

Now gently pour the cream and whisk the mixture.

Add butter, vanilla essence, and a little salt. Stir till the mixture becomes smooth.

Our second method begins with piercing the apples through stems of candy apple sticks. Align a parchment baking sheet and spray non-stick cooking spray on it.

At 190 degrees F temperature dip an apple with the stick and coat completely. Let extra caramel drip off.
